...It’s been nearly 3 years ... now the wait is almost over... it’s time to wake up 'sleeper'!
Exactly one year after the release of Trentemøller's fourth album Fixion we are happy and proud to present a full, hour long music documentary by Thomas Jessen, Julie Runa and Kristian Pedersen.
Starting with impressions from the show in Berlin's Olympic Stadion from 2013, when Trentemøller opened for Depeche Mode the film covers a period of more than four years and offers lots of intimate insights in Trentemøller's work.
Originally produced by Thomas Jessen and Julie Runa and broadcasted in three parts on Danish National TV 'DR' the film has been reedited by Kristian Pedersen into an entertaining movie which we are now happy to share with you on Trentemøller's YouTube page and other streaming services.
The film accompanies the Danish musician and producer from the first steps towards the new album, when for example he acquires new studio equipment, gives intimate insights into his studiowork or live-rehearsals for the Fixion tour.
You'll also see live concerts, interviews with Anders and his band members, a fascinating look into his work with Jehnny Beth and Marie Fisker as well as a lot of behind the scenes material.
Following the official video for “Hands Down" ft. jennylee, which was directed by visual artist Justin Tyler Close, today the "Blissed Out" video of the track is released. Trentemøller himself not only crafted the Remix and turned into a vibrant dub track, but also challenged his skills as a visual artist and edited the video.
Following on from his almost completely sold out venue tour with more then 50 shows through Europe and North America, Trentemøller is now heading towards the Festival season. There are yet 17 Festival shows announced and the tour will even take him to China for the very first time.
Get a taste of the past tour or catch some major festival vibes for the upcoming shows in summer/ autumn 2017 and watch the live video of ’Complicated' recorded live at the Astra in Berlin in February 2017
'Complicated', Trentemøller’s third single from the hugely well received album 'Fixion', and one of the two album tracks featuring Jehnny Beth from Savages, is a further adventure into Anders Trentemøller’s passion for coldwave influenced, synth-driven pop music - both elegant and darkly romantic in nature.
The accompanying video by Åsa Riton and Andreas Emenius also completes the video trilogy consisting of 'River In Me', 'Redefine' and 'Complicated', an apocalyptic story about the desperate search for a place where to start all over again. Shot in an abandoned sports arena a loose narrative unfolds of a man on a quest to re-connect with the physical world after loosing himself in a destructive relationship. A lonely world, involving tennis, palm trees, hands on fire, anonymous helpers and a constructed spine.
