Floating through moments of silence and tranquility, Julien Marchal offers timeless compositions on his Dim Mak debut, "Observations." Approaching each note with beauty and grace, Marchal transports listeners through a series of post-modern classical piano pieces, played with an immaculate touch.
"While the universe expands, our human’s world is contracting to itself. We are going faster, further, acting like if our environment was unlimited.
In a sense we are like a black hole devouring everything in our path, fully confident to be timeless.
That’s why I chose to shoot this music video in a location like Bombay Beach in California. This former prosperous seaside resort who quickly became a cluster of fish skeleton and half abandoned houses represents how things can quickly change. After all, we already have some memories of the future.”
