The “Cyberpunkers” project is the child, born in 2006, of the passion for Cyberpunk culture of two young Italian DJ’s. The format aims at giving a fresh start to this style. In a nutshell, a transposition of the Cyberpunk world in modern clubbing Through several performances at famous clubs, “Cyberpunkers” drew lots of interest and ended up being much taked about for both their original look, made of masks behind which their true identity is hidden, and for the originality of their shows, which are marked out by the use of two consoles at once and powered by several audio machines. Cyberpunkers shared the stage of the biggest electronic European festivals with such worldwide stars. Such a tight schedule did not prevent them from doing a lot of important singles and remixes.

With a heavy electronic approach and slow-burning tempo, the ingenious re-working takes pride of place on a lovely 7‘‘ record, backed with a haunting live acoustic version. The 7″ vinyl is an exclusive “Record Store Day First” release and will be available in the participating independent record stores on April 21 in the UK, Germany and most of the other RSD countries. It will then become available on other stores including mailorder shops from May 07th in case its not sold out on RSD.

Mumiy Troll is one of the most successful rock bands in Russia today. Ilya Lagutenko formed the band in 1983. Now the band has big plans to break into the US market. The band is recording its new album in Hollywood and releasing all the songs in English. Anchor Lisa Mullins talks to Ilya Lagutenko about the album.
