NEW VIDEO: Trentemøller “Gravity”

Right in time for the new single release „Gravity“ taken from Trentemøller´s new studio album „Lost“, we are now proud to present a brand-new video for this fantastic song with vocals contributed by Jana Hunter. The video explores new collaborative territory.

Directed by Tue Walin Storm and Elvira Lind, it’s set on the intricate, myriad freeways of Los Angeles and stars actor Oscar Isaac, who is known for his parts in Ridley Scott’s ‘Robin Hood’, Refn’ s ‘Drive’ and plays the lead character in the new Coen Brothers movie ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’. For his role in “Inside Llewyn Davis” Oscar Isaac is nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.

The video is an homage to the great city of LA – a place where diversity is an understatement; a place full of vibrant characters from all walks of life; a place where even our Mr. Carpool can gravitate into his American dream.

New Video: Brace/Choir “Satisfier”

Brace/Choir is a trancerock quartet founded in Berlin, Germany in 2006. Musically, the band channels a dark, minimalist psychedelia to resurrect such classic themes as death, birth, rebirth, heartbreak, multiple personality disorder, and identity theft. Brace/Choir communicates in an ur-language of rock and roll, taking turns singing the alternately mantra-like and narrative texts. Band members often switch instruments with each song (both live and in the studio), allowing each instrument to speak with a different voice.

A brief synopsis: the band meet anonymously in Berlin’s largest darkroom, but instead of having sex with each other through the glory holes, they make music. Immediate anonymous sexual gratification is replaced by rapturous improvisation. Each band member finds himself in a separate cabin “playing” with his two neighbors while the whole band plays together. A cumming of age story, featuring performances by Hermann Nitsch and including lots of skateboarding. Shot on location at The Connection Garage and based on a true story!

New Video: Aurah “Unter Wasser Über Leben”

Aurah 4th song from “Music In The Now” series takes us deep down into the water. For ‘Unter-Wasser-Über-Leben’ (German for “Surviving Under Water”) They were fortunate to collaborate with a visual master of deep sea photography. Alexander Semenov is the chief of the diving team at the White Sea Biological Station in Russia. You couldn’t get them to jump into that cold water but boy….these images are beyond fantastical! And they’re real!

It’s a trip how the ocean is a vast, untouched and unseen plane but I literally held their breath when they first saw Alexanders’ images. They dove into the studio (luckily not flooded) and recorded music inspired by them.

New Video: Tripnotic – Tricky Three

Tripnotic was keeping the dancefloors and airwaves busy with his remixes in the last few years, but we haven’t heard an original song of his since the drum’n'bass excursion called Phantom. The wait is over, as he returns with Tricky Three, a song developing from the ideas used in his remix of Djaikovski’s smash Hell Of A Road. Tricky Three is a curious mixture of breaks aesthetics laid over a strong electro beat with some trademark Tripnotic glitchy interventions.

Enjoy the brand new video. It was produced by Noir Tribe Media in New York. The lead role in the video is played by the fabulous Kourtni Lind (of You Think You Can Dance fame), who is now a featured dancer in the Bono & The Edge scored Broadway musical Spider-Man.

New Video: Sébastien Tellier “L’amour naissant”

‘Confection’ is a surprise-album from the talented composer Sebastien Tellier, to be released on November 4th on Record Makers.

Apart from one song, ‘Confection’ is an entirely instrumental piece that Sebastien conceived like a motion picture score. Several romantic musical themes are showcased in different versions, orchestral or acoustic. Their sequence brings the listener on a succession of subtle climaxes, creating powerful emotions and leaving room for fantazised images.

Tony Allen, of Fela fame, on drums, Rob, keyboardist for Phoenix, Emmanuel d’Orlando on string arrangements and Philippe Zdar mixed the record. He is also responsible for mixing albums for Phoenix, Cat Power, Beastie Boys, or Kindness and part of Cassius.

‘Confection’ is an album as close as possible to Tellier’s soul, a testimony of his deep musical skills. ‘Confection’ is a love letter for a film that doesn’t exist yet.
“L’amour naissant” video is from Jean-Baptiste Mondino.
